Breast Reduction Sydney

When considering a Breast Reduction, it is important to note that there are two options available depending on each patient’s circumstances.

In your initial consultation at Cosmos Clinic, our doctors will assess your concerns and let you know whether Vaser Liposuction Breast Reduction or a Surgical Breast Reduction would best suit your needs and desired outcome.

What is the difference between a Vaser Lipo Breast Reduction and a Surgical Breast Reduction?

Vaser Liposuction is used on women whose breasts are larger due to an excess of fatty tissue. This tissue can be simply removed using this specialised form of liposuction.

However, a Surgical Breast Reduction is required when a woman’s breasts are larger due to an excess of glandular tissue.

Vaser Liposuction for excess fatty tissue in breasts.

This surgical procedure is a less invasive Breast Reduction option whereby patient’s are placed under twilight sedation. For most , Vaser Liposuction on the breast has a minimal recovery time (of approximately 3-5 days) and minimal scarring (with only tiny incisions created, to allow for the Vaser cannula to be inserted). It is important to note that the recovery times and results may vary from patient to patient.

This type of procedure can also give a lift to your breasts due to the removal of the excess weight. This lift can be further enhanced through the heating effect of Vaser’s ultrasound technology. During Vaser Liposuction, the heat produced by the Vaser probe is used to stimulate the collagen underneath the skin. The collagen and elastin fibres thus retract and the skin is left taut and tight.

Surgical Breast Reduction for excess glandular tissue

If the cause of your large breasts is glandular tissue and not fatty tissue, a traditional Breast Reduction surgery will be required. This will be carried out under a general anaesthetic, and the procedure will involve removing excess tissue and skin. The nipple will then be relocated to best suit the breast’s new lifted position.

How much does a Breast Reduction cost?

The cost of this surgery will depends on each patient’s situation, although prices start from $5,500. Your initial consultation will cost between $150 – $220.
